Background

In the gambling industry, the stakes are high when it comes to compliance. Every piece of content or marketing promotion needs to meet strict regulations, and if something slips through the cracks, it could mean hefty fines or, worse, a shutdown. GambitAI wanted to tighten up its due diligence process, which had been slow and manual. The regulatory team had to comb through content, find potential violations, and send it back for revisions—a process that was incredibly time-consuming, especially for a company constantly churning out new material. The goal was clear: make this process faster, more efficient, and error-proof. That’s where AI came into play.

Solution

We stepped in to streamline regulatory review process with the help of GambitAI. First, we gathered all the relevant laws and regulations that govern the gambling industry and embedded them into a database using LlamaIndex. We then built a custom app using Astro and React. Now, instead of manually reviewing every piece of content, a regulatory team just drops a link into the app’s input field. From there, the app fetches the page and runs it through AzureOpenAI’s language model, which uses the stored regulations in MongoDB to flag any potential issues.

In short, the app acts like a diligent assistant, giving the regulatory team a heads-up on any problems before content goes live. This solution boosts their productivity, taking a lot of the manual effort out of the equation.

Results

Although the tool is still in beta, the impact is already clear. Regulatory teams have seen a significant improvement in both speed and accuracy when reviewing content. While we don’t have hard numbers just yet, the teams report that the AI-powered assistant saves them valuable time and helps prevent potential regulatory violations. Once the beta phase wraps up, we expect to see measurable improvements in efficiency and compliance assurance.
